Auf wiedersehen, Chef Puck. Detroit's Wolfgang Puck Steak restaurant inside the MGM Grand Detroit will not be returning to service at the casino, which is currently open in a limited capacity. Currently, Motor City Casino-Hotel and Greektown Casino-Hotel are all preparing to reopen by that date with new safety precautions in place, while MGM Grand Detroit will open Friday, August 7. Like it or not, casinos are a big source of revenue in Detroit, pouring $184 million into the city’s tax coffers in 2019. The MGM Grand in Detroit provides visitors with everything they can ask for, whether it be a range of popular casino games, dining, accommodation or nightlife, and entertainment. The casino is one of the three casino hotel resorts in the Detroit area and is one of the longest running casinos in Michigan, open since 1999. MGM Grand Detroit will remain temporarily closed through at least December 20th, in accordance with the State Health Department’s extension of the original November 15th Order.
