The tournament ended in a four-handed chop with Cawley winning £465, Daniel Heald and Thomas Treacy netting £400 and Brian Clarke banking £460.
The £225 Mini Main and £165 No Limit Hold’em Bounty events will conclude in the early hours of Nov. 6.
It is the £1,110 buy-in GUKPT Blackpool Main Event that is the flagship tournament of the festival. The Blackpool leg of the tour has always been immensely popular with recreational and professional poker players alike, with several prominent pros having been victorious in the Main Event.
The likes of Priyan de Mel, Simon Deadman, Rick Trigg, Jonny Gray and Tom Middleton have all returned from their Blackpool endeavours with the winner’s trophy and a substantial cash prize. Danny Corbett is the tournament’s reigning champion having triumphed in 2017 and secured an £87,280 score, the largest cash of his career until he finished fifth in the Monster Stack at the 2018 World Series of Poker for $266,987.
