Following its £2 million refurbishment in 2012, Genting Club Queen Square has expanded its gaming and poker areas. The casino is located in the arts and cultural district, round the corner from St. John’s Gardens, in Liverpool’s city centre.
Easy to find, it is a five minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street station and only eight miles from Liverpool John Lennon airport whilst Manchester airport is 36 miles away. Drivers should head for Liverpool city centre and follow signs for Lime Street station. Parking at the adjacent national car park is only £2.90 for the hours between 6.00pm and 6.00am but before 6.00pm, it is charged hourly and is expensive. Because of its central location there are a plethora of hotels to choose from, the nearest to Queen Square being the Marriott, Travelodge and Holiday Inn.
Live gaming starts at 2.00pm and you can play on their six American roulette tables, three blackjack, two baccarat and one table of three card poker. You will also find 14 electronic roulette machines as well as slots with a £10,000 jackpot. Dealer dealt No Limit Texas Hold’em poker tournaments and cash games are held here from Sunday to Friday. Contact the poker room if you want to enter a tournament or for more information about the cash games. They also provide free learn to play sessions. Use of the Genting Loyalty card earns you points when you play, dine or drink at the casino.
The Fahrenheit Bar & Grill and ‘Play and Graze’ menus allow you to choose from a range of dining options. The 1880 Bar offers private VIP booths, plasma screens broadcasting a range of sports, a dance floor and DJ booth and has been designed to host a range of regular live entertainment.
